I’m getting between 200 and 250 highlight films a day. A kid has about five plays to intrigue me.If he isn’t absolute nails, then it’s on to the next one.

The first step a possible student athlete should take to get on my radar is to send an email that shows interest in our university and tennis program.In the email it is beneficial to provide important information about themselves including; GPA, test scores, athletic performance, rankings & achievements, and a short highlight video that represents their skills/fundamentals and match play ability.

College coaches have a unique ability to determine if you can play at our level by watching about 2-3 minutes of video.

For those players we can’t observe in person, we spend hours reviewing and categorizing emails that include player bios, video highlights, and full matches.

TA recruiting video is a first impression. It is a Perspective Student Athlete’s (PSA’s) first opportunity to capture the attention of coaches and let us know what type of player you are out on the pitch.

Duration of the clip
Every clip should be a single play

File Format
All footage should be prepared as QuickTime
.mov or .Mp4 files.

Resolution
We prefer HD footage, not lower than 1280 x 720 pixels.
• 4K – 4096×2160
• HD – 1920×1080
• HD – 1280×720

We accept the following Codecs:
• ProRes 422 / 422 HQ / 4444 – Export with as little compression as possible.
• H.264 – If encoding to this format use the “best” quality.
• Apple ProRes 422 LT

Mobile device videos
We will accept HD video recorded with a mobile device, but please keep the following in mind:
When transferring your footage from your phone to your computer please be sure to use the device cable. Emailing/messaging the video as an attachment will result in loss of quality.

Please keep in mind that on most phones the user-facing camera has a much lower resolution than the camera facing away from the user. We recommend you to only use the camera with the highest resolution.
